Welcome to Aevum. By downloading, installing, or using the Aevum mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

1. Description of Service

Aevum is an educational mobile application that provides interactive historical content, including:

• AI-powered dialogues with historical figures
• Interactive historical timelines and events
• Educational quizzes and challenges
• Visual and audio historical content

2. Eligibility

Aevum is available to users of all ages. Users under 18 should have parental consent before making any purchases.

3. Free and Premium Content

• Free tier: Access to Ancient Egypt (stops 1–5), associated historical legends, and 5 AI questions per day.
• Premium tiers (Explorer, Scholar, Master): Access to all epochs, all legends, and increased daily AI question limits.
• In-app coins earned through quizzes can be used to ask additional AI questions (3 coins = 1 question).

4. Subscriptions and Payments

• Subscriptions are billed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account.
• All subscriptions include a 7-day free trial for new subscribers.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's account settings.
• No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods unless required by applicable law.

5. AI-Generated Content

• Conversations with historical figures are generated by artificial intelligence and are for educational and entertainment purposes only.
• AI responses aim for historical accuracy but may contain inaccuracies or creative interpretations.
• AI-generated content does not constitute professional historical, academic, or legal advice.
• The "Facts & Legends" toggle distinguishes between historically verified facts and legendary/mythological narratives.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the App
• Circumvent any content restrictions or subscription requirements
• Use automated systems to access the App or its AI services
• Share your subscription access with others

7. Intellectual Property

All content in the App, including but not limited to text, images, videos, audio, animations, and UI design, is owned by Aevum or its licensors and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from App content without our written permission.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Historical content is provided for educational purposes and we make no representations about its completeness or accuracy.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aevum shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will update the "Last updated" date when changes are made.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
